Stig Lindberg ?!?!

I got the package from Japan last week. The sender is one of my friends who have a Japanese tea shop. Look at this lapping paper!! Sooooooo beautiful and these green x yellow color combination must remind one of the Japanese tea- called ”Sen-cha”.
But wait a minute!! Don’t you think the line and the form of these motives such as tea-cup, tea-leaf, te-bottle are similar to Stig Lindberg´s touch?!?!?!  I asked my friend who designed for this lapping paper?!?!?!  She mentioned that it was 50-60tal, her father was a member of the Japanese tea association and they asked SOMEONE foreigner’s designer to design for tea-shops at that time.

(The picture comes from the book STIG LINDBERG, Tusenkonstrnären)

Here is an another lapping paper. This monochrome lapping paper is designed by STIG LINBERG in 1959 for the one of the biggest department in Tokyo, Japan named “ SEIBU”
